I’m Mia DiMaio, a design strategist and writer. I have 5+ years of experience helping emerging brands and established global companies launch their next best thing.
I bring both my left and right brain to work, thriving at the intersection between strategy and creativity, where deep research meets rapid iteration. With a track record of leading high-impact product and experience strategies, I excel at guiding teams, shaping roadmaps, and influencing executive decisions to help drive business growth and product innovation.
Currently, I work in Deloitte Digital’s design and innovation practice, where you can catch me either inventing or evolving products & services for consumer brands. Before, I worked in growth at startups like Branch, and built pitch decks.
My background also extends to strategy experience at Cushman & Wakefield and Gensler, where I applied this same thinking to physical space for retail, workplace, and other interiors.
I hold a B.S. in Design Strategy & Analysis from Cornell University’s Department of Human Centered Design. I was also a scholar in residence at the Cornell Branch of the Telluride Association.
A multicultural hyphenate raised by a top-tier single mom, my creative practice involves listening to and learning from other places: I enjoy filming my travels, reading translated fiction, and frequenting NYC’s museums with sketchbook in-hand. I’m also a language student at the French Institute, L’Alliance Française (CEFR Level B2), an amateur ballerina, and adventurer of learning new things.
